On a walk with the dogs I realize Sophie and a deer behind us were having a stare-out. Of course, Skipper didn’t even notice it. Only stayed here one night. Dave was anxious to get to the Lewis & Clark Caverns.

The rafting season here was really over because the water was low. I guess these kind of rafts make a softer ride.12b1d038ba5c18b7c5261fd82a59b97d.jpeg201bdcb50cb26c6b0206a97f91f28008.jpegThese two photos were taken at the Lo Lo Pass rest stop on our way to Lewis & Clark. Sophie was very interested in these little ground squirrels which have been at most of our campsites for the past several weeks. I think she is trying to figure out why they look so different from southern tree squirrels. We’ve also seen Golden Mantles (chipmunks) which are really cute!
